This market will resolve to the temperature range that contains the lowest temperature recorded by NOAA at the William P. Hobby Airport Station in degrees Fahrenheit on 29 Aug '26. The resolution source for this market will be information from NOAA, specifically the lowest reading under the "Temp" column for all times on this day, available here: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=khou This market will resolve off of the Hourly Data provided using the "Show Hourly Data" button. If NOAA data for the observation date is unavailable by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, the Weather Underground Daily Observations table will be used as the resolution source. To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the "Switch to US Units w/ kts" button until the relevant table displays °F. This market can not resolve until the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Fahrenheit (eg, 21°F). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.**Trader consensus strongly favors a minimum temperature of 76-77°F (88% implied probability) for Houston on August 29, 2026, with secondary support around 74-75°F.** This positioning aligns with National Weather Service and model guidance showing overnight lows in the upper 70s amid a classic late-summer pattern of clear to mostly clear skies, light southerly winds, and high humidity that limits radiative cooling. Houston’s climatological average low for the date is 75.5°F, and recent conditions reflect persistent warmth with dew points near 77-79°F suppressing further drops. Forecasts consistently project a nighttime minimum near 79°F following daytime highs in the mid- to upper 90s, though some local model runs and historical analogs allow for brief dips into the mid-70s under optimal clear-sky scenarios. No significant cold advection, frontal passage, or anomalous weather systems are present to drive cooler readings, keeping probabilities for 68-69°F or below at just 23% and under 10%. The market reflects aggregated trader assessment of these stable atmospheric conditions and the narrow range of plausible overnight minimums given current steering patterns and moisture levels.
