**Official National Weather Service and private forecasts project a high near 95°F in Atlanta on September 4 under mostly sunny skies with light easterly winds.** This aligns with the ongoing early-September heat wave, where recent days have reached 94–97°F—well above the 86–87°F climatological normal—driven by clear conditions, high pressure, and limited moisture return. Model consensus shows minimal afternoon convection risk on the 4th (under 20% in most guidance), preserving peak heating, though subtle shifts in cloud cover or boundary-layer moisture could trim or boost the maximum by 1–2°F. Trader-implied odds concentrate on the 94–97°F bins, reflecting this stable forecast signal and the narrow range of plausible outcomes given current atmospheric setup.
