Official National Weather Service observations from Los Angeles International Airport recorded a minimum temperature of 64°F on September 2, 2026, aligning closely with the 1991–2020 climatological normal of 65°F and driving the market's 94.5% implied probability on the 64–65°F outcome. Clear skies, light winds, and the absence of marine layer cooling or anomalous high-pressure systems kept overnight lows near seasonal baselines rather than dipping toward historical records in the mid-50s. Traders weighting primary station data over secondary downtown readings (which reached 61°F) produced this strong consensus, though resolution criteria tied to a specific gauge or minor post-verification adjustments remain the only realistic variables that could shift final settlement.
