Official observations from the National Weather Service Fort Worth station at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport recorded a maximum temperature of 100°F on September 2, 2026, with afternoon readings reaching that level under clear to mostly clear skies and light southerly winds. This aligns precisely with the market's dominant 100-101°F outcome, as real-time ASOS data and preliminary climate summaries showed highs 7–8°F above the 1991–2020 normal of 92–93°F amid a broader late-summer heat pattern. Trader consensus reflects this verified measurement rather than forecasts, given the date has passed. Minor revisions to final quality-controlled records or differences between nearby stations could theoretically shift the exact bin, though historical precedent indicates such adjustments rarely exceed 1°F for this location.
