Official observations from Seattle-Tacoma International Airport recorded a minimum of 59°F on September 2 under persistent overcast skies and light rain, several degrees above the 55°F climatological normal. Trader sentiment remains tightly balanced among the 52–57°F bins because final hourly data and any microclimate adjustments at the official station can shift the precise low by a degree or two. Marine-layer stratus and moderate southerly flow limited radiational cooling overnight, while model guidance had shown modest spread in boundary-layer moisture and wind speed that directly affects minimum temperature. Updated National Weather Service climatological reports and station metadata releases in the coming days will resolve remaining ambiguity around exact thresholds.
