Official forecasts from the National Weather Service and private models indicate sunny skies and a high near 96°F for Houston on September 24 under a persistent high-pressure ridge. Light northeast winds and minimal cloud cover are expected to maximize solar heating, consistent with recent days that reached the mid-to-upper 90s amid above-average late-summer warmth. Market prices cluster tightly around 92–95°F because small differences in peak timing, urban heat effects, or minor model spread in boundary-layer mixing can shift the daily maximum by a degree or two. Low precipitation chances further support strong daytime insolation, though any earlier sea-breeze influence could cap temperatures slightly below the consensus forecast.
