Northeast winds sustained at 15-20 mph with gusts to 30 mph are suppressing daytime warming across the New York City region, keeping maximum temperatures firmly in the upper 60s on September 23. Official National Weather Service guidance and multiple forecast models converge on highs of 66-68°F under partly to mostly cloudy skies with negligible precipitation chances, consistent with the market-implied probabilities favoring 66-69°F bins. Persistent onshore flow from cooler Atlantic waters and limited solar insolation under the prevailing pattern limit afternoon peaks, aligning with typical late-September climatology when highs average near 72°F but recent northeasterly regimes have produced similar subdued readings. No significant model shifts or warm-air advection are expected before resolution, tightening trader consensus around the current forecast envelope.
