Parliamentary elections to elect all 127 seats of the National Assembly of Quebec are scheduled to take place in Quebec on October 5, 2026. This market will resolve according to the candidate who wins the next La Prairie Quebec National Assembly election for a full term beginning in October 2026 or thereafter. If the election results are not known definitively by March 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to "Other". The resolution source for this market will be a consensus of credible reporting. In case of ambiguity, this market will resolve solely based on official election results as published by Elections Quebec (https://www.electionsquebec.qc.ca/).The open seat in La Prairie, following Christian Dubé’s departure from the Coalition Avenir Québec caucus and decision not to seek re-election, has produced a competitive field ahead of the October 5, 2026, provincial vote. Main candidates include Pierre Guillot-Hurtubise (CAQ), Frédéric Côté (Parti Québécois), Sonia Ziadé (Liberal), Francine van Winden (Québec solidaire), and Marie Pelletier (Conservative), with nominations closing September 17. The riding’s 2022 CAQ margin and current provincial standings give the party a structural edge, yet trader prices remain tightly clustered near 44–50% because early-campaign dynamics, voter shifts on the new electoral map, turnout patterns, and potential late movement among opposition parties have not yet produced clear separation. Scheduled advance polls and ongoing party platform releases through September could alter positioning before election day.
