Parliamentary elections to elect all 127 seats of the National Assembly of Quebec are scheduled to take place in Quebec on October 5, 2026. This market will resolve according to the candidate who wins the next Laviolette–Saint-Maurice Quebec National Assembly election for a full term beginning in October 2026 or thereafter. If the election results are not known definitively by March 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to "Other". The resolution source for this market will be a consensus of credible reporting. In case of ambiguity, this market will resolve solely based on official election results as published by Elections Quebec (https://www.electionsquebec.qc.ca/).The 2026 Quebec general election campaign for Laviolette–Saint-Maurice opened after the writs were issued on August 27, with incumbent Marie-Louise Tardif (CAQ) stepping aside. This has produced a fragmented field featuring Guy Veillette for the CAQ, Élodie Murphy-Gauthier for the PQ, Charles Paquin for the Conservatives, Laurent Bélisle for the Liberals, and additional candidates from smaller parties. Projections from models such as 338Canada show the PQ and CAQ essentially tied in vote share, with the Conservatives holding notable regional support. The absence of an incumbent, combined with shifting provincial polling and the short window before nominations close on September 17, has kept implied probabilities clustered near even across several contenders. Late-campaign events such as candidate debates, turnout patterns in Shawinigan and La Tuque, or last-minute endorsements could separate the leaders before the October 5 vote.
