Recent ensemble forecasts from the Met Office and GFS models indicate London highs of 22–23°C on September 24 under high pressure, with southerly winds and mostly sunny conditions limiting cloud cover. This setup supports the tight market spread between those two outcomes, as minor variations in afternoon subsidence strength or boundary-layer mixing could shift the peak by 1°C. Historical September averages near 20°C provide context, but the current warm anomaly stems from a persistent Atlantic ridge drawing milder air northward. Traders are monitoring the next model cycles for any shift in low-level temperatures or wind speeds that might favor 21°C or 24°C instead.
