Recent APC primary results have positioned former Governor Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar as the party's standard-bearer for 2027 after defeating prominent aspirants including Yusuf Tuggar. Incumbent Governor Bala Mohammed's shift to the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) has boosted Yakubu Adamu, whose ticket gained visibility after APM's sweep in recent local government polls. Senator Shehu Buba Umar's defection to the PDP and other party realignments have fragmented opposition support across Bauchi's senatorial zones. Trader pricing reflects this balance between APM's incumbency advantages in grassroots mobilization and APC's established structures, with limited polling data leaving room for shifts ahead of INEC candidate finalization and campaign intensification.
