Rockstar Games' June 2026 confirmation of Grand Theft Auto VI's standard edition at $79.99 directly anchors the 97.7% "No" consensus, as the base price stays in line with recent AAA norms rather than crossing into triple digits. Industry analysts note this measured $10 increase over the prior $70 standard balances the title's record development costs with broad consumer appeal, while the separate $99.99 Ultimate Edition absorbs premium content demand without altering the core MSRP. Trader confidence draws further support from Take-Two's post-announcement remarks endorsing the structure and strong pre-order uptake across both tiers ahead of the November 19 launch. A realistic upset would require an unprecedented last-minute base-price hike or redefinition of resolution criteria, both viewed as highly improbable given locked pre-order listings and historical Rockstar precedent.
