Recent cooling in Mexico's headline inflation to 3.12% in July 2026—the lowest since 2020—has anchored trader consensus around the 3.50-3.99% band for the full-year 2026 average, with the 3.00-3.49% range a close second. Subdued energy and food prices, alongside Banxico's decision to hold the policy rate at 6.50% while revising its convergence timeline to late 2027, have reinforced the disinflation path. Core inflation near 3.95% signals persistent services pressures but remains within the 2-4% target band. Market-implied odds reflect this trajectory amid soft domestic demand, with upcoming CPI prints and any fiscal measures as potential swing factors before year-end resolution.
