Current forecasts from the National Weather Service and ensemble models indicate a minimum temperature in the mid-60s Fahrenheit for New York City on September 8, driven by clear to partly cloudy skies overnight that promote radiative cooling under light northwest winds of 3–5 mph and dew points near 50–55°F. This setup aligns with climatological averages of 64.1°F for the date while limiting further drops, as mild high pressure suppresses stronger cold advection. Trader consensus favoring 64–67°F ranges reflects these stable conditions, though model runs can shift slightly with updated boundary-layer data before final NWS observations resolve the market.
