Latest National Weather Service forecasts and ensemble model consensus project a high of 98–100°F in Austin on September 9 under mostly sunny skies with light southerly flow and no significant frontal passage. This aligns with the market’s leading 98–99°F outcome at 61% implied probability, as persistent late-summer warmth and above-normal temperatures noted in NOAA’s early-September outlook continue to dominate. Minor model spread around afternoon heating and any isolated storm development supports the secondary 100–101°F (18%) and 96–97°F (17%) brackets. The September 9 climatological average high of roughly 93°F underscores how current conditions favor readings several degrees above normal, with traders weighting official guidance heavily ahead of final observations.
