Recent National Weather Service and model guidance indicate Los Angeles minimum temperatures on September 9 will likely reach the mid-70s under a persistent warm air mass with reduced marine influence and light winds limiting nocturnal cooling. This places the outcome well above the early-September climatological average low near 64 °F at downtown and LAX stations. Short-range ensemble runs show minimal spread around 73–78 °F, supporting elevated probabilities for the 74–75 °F bin while the 82 °F-or-higher outcome reflects residual uncertainty in how strongly onshore flow or cloud cover may moderate the night. No significant cool-air advection is expected before the 9th, keeping trader focus on the latest NWS update and any last-model shifts in boundary-layer moisture.
