Recent National Weather Service and model guidance indicate overnight lows for Los Angeles on September 8 will likely settle in the low-to-mid 70s, driven by persistent onshore flow, elevated marine layer moisture, and limited radiational cooling under partly cloudy skies. This aligns with the market's strongest consensus around 72-73°F. Recent climatological data show early September lows averaging near 64°F, but a warm air mass and weak pressure gradients have elevated minimum temperatures by 8-10°F above normal in the preceding days. Forecasters note minimal model spread on steering winds and no incoming trough to enhance cooling, keeping the probability of readings below 70°F low while leaving modest room for slight upward revisions if afternoon heat lingers longer into the evening.
