**Current National Weather Service and private forecasts for Chicago on September 8 point to a daytime high in the low-to-mid 80s under southerly flow and partly cloudy skies, driving the market's concentration on the 82–87 °F bins.** Recent model guidance shows modest warming from today's near-80 °F readings, with afternoon temperatures peaking near 82–84 °F before any evening showers develop; this aligns with climatological norms for early September after the recent hot spell (highs near 95 °F earlier in the month) has moderated. Key variables include the strength of south winds, cloud cover limiting insolation, and any last-minute forecast adjustments from the National Weather Service Chicago office or updated model runs overnight. Trader positioning reflects the narrow uncertainty band typical for a 24-hour temperature market, where official observations at O'Hare or Midway will resolve the outcome.
