Recent National Weather Service guidance and model consensus indicate a warm southerly flow will limit overnight radiative cooling for Chicago on September 8, supporting a minimum near 70–74°F amid partly to mostly cloudy skies and a 40–50% chance of showers after midnight. Elevated dew points near 60°F and light southeast winds further suppress typical September cooling rates, shifting probabilities toward the 68–73°F range despite historical averages near 62°F. Ensemble spreads in GFS and ECMWF runs highlight sensitivity to exact cloud timing and precipitation onset, keeping 62–67°F bins competitive among traders. Updated NWS point forecasts and 00Z model cycles expected overnight will refine these thresholds ahead of market resolution.
