Flávio Bolsonaro holds a clear lead in trader consensus for first place in the Federal District first round, reflecting the capital region's consistent right-leaning electorate and strong backing for the Liberal Party candidate among federal workers, military families, and Bolsonaro supporters. Recent national polls from Nexus and PoderData in mid-August show Lula ahead or tied overall with Flávio at 36-41 percent versus 35-37 percent, yet local dynamics favor the senator as Jair Bolsonaro's endorsed heir. The official campaign launch on August 16, candidate registrations, and Flávio's PL nomination have reinforced this positioning ahead of the October 4 vote. Lula trails at lower implied probability, with other names like Ronaldo Caiado and Renan Santos registering minimal local support.
