Recent opinion polls conducted through early August 2026 position the Sweden Democrats consistently in second place behind the Social Democrats ahead of the September 13 parliamentary election. Multiple surveys, including Demoskop and Novus, show the Sweden Democrats at roughly 20 percent support compared with the Moderates near 17 percent, reflecting stable voter preferences in the final month of campaigning. The ruling Tidö bloc's overall lag and limited movement in bloc-level results have reinforced trader consensus around this ordering. No major late shifts in turnout patterns, policy debates on crime or immigration, or party-specific momentum have altered these relative standings in the most recent data.
