Upcoming parliamentary elections on September 23, 2026, keep the contest for Morocco’s next prime minister tightly balanced, as no single party is positioned to secure an outright majority in the House of Representatives. The incumbent coalition of the National Rally of Independents, Authenticity and Modernity Party, and Istiqlal faces internal strains and competition from opposition groups, while recent developments such as Fouzi Lekjaa’s move to the PAM and prominent ministerial candidacies have heightened uncertainty over seat shares and post-election alliances. Trader consensus around Aziz Akhannouch, Fatima Ezzahra El Mansouri, Nizar Baraka, and other listed contenders reflects the fragmented political landscape and the king’s role in nominating the head of government after results and coalition talks. Late shifts in turnout, regional outcomes, or alliance negotiations could quickly alter implied probabilities ahead of resolution.
