**Chris Pappas holds a clear but shrinking lead over Karishma Manzur in the September 8 New Hampshire Democratic Senate primary.** Recent University of New Hampshire polling shows Pappas ahead 47%-34% among likely Democratic voters, down from earlier double-digit to 40-plus point advantages in winter and spring surveys. Manzur has narrowed the gap through grassroots organizing that resonates with younger and progressive voters, including Democratic Socialists of America supporters, while emphasizing issues such as campaign finance reform, Medicare for All, and foreign policy. Pappas benefits from strong name recognition as a four-term congressman, substantial fundraising (millions raised versus Manzur’s low six figures), and endorsements from party moderates and some elected officials. The race remains a contest between establishment and progressive factions within the state party, with turnout among different ideological and age cohorts likely to determine the final margin. Other declared candidates have polled in the low single digits or not at all. Trader positioning on margin-of-victory buckets reflects this late narrowing of the gap and uncertainty about turnout in the final week, with significant probability assigned to narrower outcomes or “Other” scenarios rather than a blowout. No major new polling has emerged since the late-August UNH survey, leaving the exact spread sensitive to mobilization efforts in the days remaining before the primary.

This market will resolve according to the margin of victory in the Democratic primary for the U.S. Senate seat in New Hampshire.
For the purpose of this market, the “margin of victory” is defined as the absolute difference between the percentages of valid votes received by the first- and second-place candidates. Percentages of the valid votes received by each candidate will be determined by dividing the total number of valid votes each of the top two candidates receives by the sum of all valid votes cast in the election.
If the reported value falls exactly between two brackets, then this market will resolve to the higher margin bracket.
If two candidates receive the exact same highest number of valid votes and both are listed, this market will resolve to the lowest bracket for the tied candidate whose last name comes first alphabetically. If only one of the tied candidates is listed, this market will resolve to the lowest bracket for that listed candidate. If neither tied candidate is listed, this market will resolve to “Other.”
This market will resolve based on the official vote count once the count has been made official.
If the results of the specified election are not known definitively by December 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to “Other”.
The resolution source for this market will be the New Hampshire Secretary of State, https://www.sos.nh.gov/.
