**Forecasts from the National Weather Service and other sources indicate the overnight low for Houston on September 7, 2026, will likely fall in the upper 70s.** Official guidance points to a low near 80°F under mostly clear skies with light southerly winds, while broader model consensus and local observations support a range of 78–81°F. This aligns closely with the market’s dominant outcomes of 78–79°F (72.5% implied probability) and 76–77°F (27.5%). Houston’s subtropical climate in early September features high dew points (typically 74–77°F) that limit nocturnal cooling through reduced radiative heat loss and elevated heat indices. Recent climatological data show average lows around 74–75°F, but persistent warm, humid air masses this week have kept overnight readings elevated at 75–80°F. Light winds and limited cloud cover allow only modest temperature drops, with no cold front or significant atmospheric change expected to alter the pattern. No major model disagreements or sudden shifts appear in current guidance, supporting trader consensus around the upper-70s range as the most probable resolution for the official station measurement.
