A persistent ridge of high pressure over North Texas has sustained a multi-week heat wave, driving forecast highs for Dallas on September 8 near 100–101°F under sunny skies, light southerly winds, and dew points in the upper 60s that elevate heat indices above 105°F. National Weather Service and other models show strong consensus on this range, well above the 1991–2020 average high of 92°F, with no precipitation or frontal passage expected to alter conditions. Trader emphasis on the 100–101°F bin reflects these stable atmospheric patterns and limited model spread, though minor variations in afternoon maximum readings could shift outcomes slightly higher or lower.
