Official guidance consistently projected a peak near 101°F with heat indices reaching 106-107°F amid a prolonged dry spell exceeding 50 days. This aligns with climatological patterns of late-summer heat in North Texas when subtropical ridging suppresses precipitation. Minor model variations or localized urban heat effects could push readings to 102°F, but sustained clear conditions and consistent agency data make significant deviations unlikely before evening.
