Current National Weather Service forecasts and model consensus indicate a sunny day across Atlanta on September 8 under building high pressure following a recent cold front, with light easterly winds favoring a daily maximum in the upper 80s. This positions the 88-89°F bin as the leading outcome at 41% implied probability, followed closely by 90-91°F, reflecting minor ensemble spread and typical afternoon heating variability. The projected high sits modestly above the 1991-2020 climatological average of 85°F yet well below the recent heat that pushed prior days into the mid-90s. Traders are weighting the stable synoptic pattern and low precipitation odds, with resolution hinging on the official Atlanta airport observation; any late-model shift in boundary-layer mixing could adjust the final reading by 1-2°F.
