Recent opinion polls for the September 6, 2026 Sachsen-Anhalt Landtag election consistently place the SPD at 6–7% and the BSW at 4–5%, giving the SPD a clear lead in direct head-to-head support. This positioning reflects the BSW’s limited regional breakthrough since its national emergence and the SPD’s established base within the current CDU-SPD-FDP coalition. Campaigns urging tactical voting for smaller parties to clear the 5% threshold have further reinforced SPD momentum relative to the BSW. With the election only weeks away and no major shifts in recent surveys, trader consensus reflects these stable polling trends and the structural challenges facing the BSW in this eastern state contest.
