Recent polls from early August place the AfD at 41–43% support ahead of the September 6, 2026, Landtag election, with the CDU trailing at 22–24% and smaller parties fragmented below 15%. These figures, drawn from INSA, Pollytix, and Infratest dimap surveys, point to the AfD securing roughly 38–41 of the 83 seats under proportional allocation, aligning with the market’s strongest outcome. Voter discontent with the incumbent CDU–SPD–FDP coalition and persistent migration concerns have sustained AfD gains since 2021, while the CDU continues to lose ground. With the election three weeks away, limited remaining campaign events and no major shifts in other parties’ polling keep the 38–41 seat range as the consensus projection among traders.
