Recent opinion polls ahead of Sweden’s September 13 general election show the Social Democrats under Magdalena Andersson maintaining a clear lead with roughly 30-32 percent support, placing the centre-left bloc ahead of the incumbent Tidö government’s parties. Andersson’s party benefits from consistent advantages in voter confidence surveys and bloc arithmetic that favor a return to power, while current Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson’s Moderates trail at around 17 percent amid stagnant or declining right-wing totals. Sweden Democrats remain the second-largest party but face coalition constraints, limiting alternative paths to the premiership. These trends have produced trader consensus reflected in the elevated probability for Andersson, with limited volatility in the final weeks before voters decide the composition of the next Riksdag and subsequent government formation.
