**Paul St-Pierre Plamondon leads trader pricing for Quebec’s next premier at 71% because the Parti Québécois maintains a consistent edge in late-summer 2026 polling averages and seat projections ahead of the October 5 election.** Recent surveys show the PQ ahead of the Liberals and CAQ among decided voters, with Plamondon viewed favorably on leadership attributes. Incumbent Premier Christine Fréchette (13%) and Liberal leader Charles Milliard (14%) trail due to softer CAQ and PLQ numbers, while Bernard Drainville, Ruba Ghazal, Éric Duhaime, and Sol Zanetti register minimal implied probability given their parties’ limited projected seat totals. Key variables that could still shift outcomes include final campaign momentum, turnout among francophone voters, and any late movement in the closely watched PQ-Liberal gap.
