Majorities in recent surveys, including Quinnipiac and CNN/SSRS, expressed disapproval of the intervention due to costs and casualties, contributing to net approval readings as low as -27. Persistent economic concerns over affordability, inflation, and energy prices have compounded the drop, with overall job approval hovering near 33-38 percent across trackers. The November 2026 midterm elections represent the next major scheduled test of voter sentiment, while further foreign-policy developments or shifts in economic conditions could influence whether ratings stabilize or reach new lows before year-end.
