Gubernatorial elections are currently scheduled to be held in Gombe State, Nigeria, on February 6, 2027. If the election is officially rescheduled, this market will resolve based on the election held to choose the Governor for the term beginning in 2027. This market will resolve according to the listed candidate who wins the 2027 Gombe State gubernatorial election. Any interim, acting, or caretaker Governor will not qualify. If the results are not known definitively by October 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to "Other". If no candidate has been officially elected by the resolution deadline, this market will resolve to "Other". This market will resolve based on the results of this election, as indicated by a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve solely based on official results published by Nigeria's Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and Nigerian government sources.Jamilu Isyaku Gwamna’s position as the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate for the 2027 Gombe State election, secured through party primaries and an August 2026 stakeholders’ consensus meeting backed by Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, underpins his 70.5% market share. The APC’s recent sweep of all local government chairmanship and councillorship seats reinforces its organizational strength and incumbency advantages ahead of the general election. Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami, who placed second in the APC primary before defecting, won the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) nomination the same month and holds 24.5% trader consensus as the primary opposition contender. Other listed aspirants remain at 50% amid limited recent movement. APC dominance in state institutions and the two-candidate consolidation between the major parties continue to shape implied probabilities for the 2027 outcome.
