This market will resolve to “Yes” if the listed Designated Contract Market (DCM) self-certifies sports-related event-based contracts with the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) between market creation and December 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET. Otherwise, this market will resolve to “No”. The primary resolution source will be official information released by the CFTC or the respective DCM; however, a consensus of credible reporting will also be used.Recent CFTC guidance, including the July 2026 advisory on event contract self-certifications and the June proposed rule clarifying “gaming” definitions, has shaped trader views by encouraging compliant DCM filings while restricting certain sports props like injuries or officiating calls. Aristotle Exchange leads market-implied odds due to its preparation for narrow, rules-based sports contracts backed by league integrity frameworks and data-sharing agreements, outpacing peers such as CBOE and ICE. State attorneys general opposition and ongoing jurisdictional tensions add uncertainty, though the framework favors established DCMs with strong compliance programs. Key near-term catalysts include any public CFTC filings or further staff clarifications before year-end.
