This market will resolve to "Yes" if the sitting Romanian Chamber of Deputies and Senate are dissolved by the specified date, 11:59 PM ET. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". The primary resolution source for this market is official information from the government of Romania, however a consensus of credible reporting will also be used. Romania's ongoing political impasse, triggered by the May 2026 no-confidence vote that removed Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan's pro-European coalition government, centers trader attention on the conditions for parliamentary dissolution. Under constitutional rules, President Nicușor Dan may dissolve parliament and trigger early elections if two successive prime minister-designates fail to secure the required majority within a 60-day window, though he holds discretion to continue nominations. The June 2026 rejection of Adrian Vestea's proposed cabinet, which fell short with only 189 votes against the 233 needed, extended the deadlock amid fragmented parties and failed coalition talks. With regular elections scheduled no later than November 2028, repeated unsuccessful formation attempts and the absence of a stable majority keep the prospect of dissolution in play, while any successful cabinet vote or presidential decision would likely shift probabilities.
