Gubernatorial elections are currently scheduled to be held in Quintana Roo on June 6, 2027. This market will resolve according to the listed candidate who wins the 2027 Quintana Roo gubernatorial elections. Any interim or caretaker Governor will not qualify. If the results are not known definitively by December 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to “Other”. This market will resolve based on the results of this election, as indicated by a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve solely based on official results as reported by government sources of Quintana Roo and Mexico, including the Electoral Institute of Quintana Roo and the National Electoral Institute of Mexico.Eugenio Segura Vázquez and Ana Patricia Peralta de la Peña lead the Quintana Roo governor race at roughly 38–40% each in trader pricing, reflecting Morena’s strong statewide position ahead of the 2027 contest and an unresolved internal nomination process. Recent candidate registrations and preference surveys from mid-2026 show Segura ahead within Morena by double digits, while Peralta benefits from high public visibility as Cancún mayor; other declared contenders such as Rafael Marín Mollinedo trail at 15%. The closeness stems from the party’s early-stage selection dynamics and limited differentiation among frontrunners so far. Upcoming Morena internal voting, coalition negotiations, and any shifts in polling on voter intention could widen the gap before the general election.
