Michael J. Fox leads trader sentiment in the guest actor comedy category thanks to his widely publicized return to acting after a five-year retirement, generating substantial industry goodwill and media coverage for his multi-episode arc on Apple TV+’s Shrinking. Nominations announced in early July placed him alongside fellow Shrinking performer Brett Goldstein, breakout Apple TV+ series Widow’s Bay’s Hamish Linklater, and supporting turns from The Bear, Hacks, and Saturday Night Live, but Fox’s personal story and established fanbase have positioned him as the clear frontrunner. Recent precursor discussions and episode submissions have reinforced this momentum ahead of the ceremony, while the field remains competitive enough that strong guild or critics’ recognition could still influence late shifts in implied probabilities.
