This market will resolve according to the candidate who receives the most valid votes from Oakland County in the Democratic Primary for United States Senator from Michigan, which is scheduled to be held on August 4, 2026. The named candidates will be primarily ranked by the number of valid votes received in the specified election. If two or more candidates are tied on valid votes, ties will be broken by alphabetical order of the candidates' last names. This market will resolve to the candidate that occupies the highest finishing position after applying this ranking. If the Oakland County results of this election are not definitively known by December 31, 2026, this market will resolve to “Other.” This market will resolve based on a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve based solely on the official results as reported by the government of Michigan, including the Office of the Secretary of State and the government of Oakland County.Haley Stevens secured a clear lead in Oakland County during Michigan’s August 4 Democratic U.S. Senate primary, reflecting her established base in the suburban Detroit area she has represented in Congress. Official and unofficial tallies showed her ahead of Abdul El-Sayed by roughly six points there, consistent with her stronger showing across several suburban counties despite his narrow statewide victory driven by support in urban and other regions. The primary followed Mallory McMorrow’s earlier withdrawal, leaving a two-candidate contest focused on differences in policy emphasis and endorsements. While reported results indicate a decisive county outcome, any remaining uncertified ballots, administrative adjustments, or successful legal challenges to the count could still alter the final margin in Oakland.
