This market will resolve according to the candidate who wins the nomination for the Republican Party to contest the FL-07 congressional district seat in the U.S. House of Representatives in the 2026 midterm elections. The Republican primary will take place on August 18, 2026. If no nominee is announced by November 3, 2026, 11:59PM ET, this market will resolve to "Other". The resolution source for this market will be a consensus of official Republican sources, including https://www.rnc.org/. Any replacement of the nominee before election day will not change the resolution of the market.Recent polls show incumbent Cory Mills leading the August 18 Republican primary for Florida’s 7th congressional district but with only 28-30% support amid high undecideds, while challenger Ryan Elijah trails closely at 14-22%. Mills faces House Ethics Committee scrutiny and mixed endorsements, including a recent statement of non-support from Governor Ron DeSantis, creating openings despite a Trump endorsement. Elijah, a former local news anchor with community ties, benefits from name recognition and fundraising that positions him as the main alternative in a fragmented field including Michael Johnson and Sarah Ulrich. Trader consensus reflects this volatility in a low-turnout primary where late shifts among undecided voters or final campaign events could quickly reorder the outcome.
