Only games designated by the NFL as Week 1 of the 2026-27 regular season count. In the event of a tie, this market will resolve in favor of the tied player with more rushing yards in Week 1 of the 2026-27 NFL regular season. If a tie still persists, this market will resolve in favor of the player with a higher yards per carry average in Week 1 of the 2026-27 NFL regular season. If a tie still persists, this market will resolve to "Other". If Week 1 of the 2026-27 NFL regular season is shortened or truncated for any reason, the outcome shall be determined using available NFL statistics for completed games. If Week 1 of the 2026-27 NFL regular season is cancelled, postponed past September 30, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or it is unclear which player led the NFL in rushing touchdowns within that timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other". The resolution source for this market will be official information from the NFL; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.In NFL Week 1, rushing touchdown leadership remains tightly contested because goal-line opportunities and red-zone touches distribute unpredictably across backfields, with most teams employing committees rather than singular workhorses. Preseason depth charts, training camp reports on carry distribution, and early injury updates have kept implied probabilities bunched, as no back enters with a decisive edge in projected volume or scoring chances. Recent form from the prior season, combined with matchup-specific factors like offensive line strength and opponent run defense, further levels the field, while the single-game format amplifies variance from weather, game script, and short-yardage packages. Trader consensus reflects this parity, with outcomes hinging on which backs secure the limited high-value carries available in opening weekend contests.
