This competitive dynamic stems from varied Week 1 matchups featuring high-volume passers like Joe Burrow, Dak Prescott, Matthew Stafford, and Brock Purdy against defenses that allow substantial aerial production, alongside mobile options such as Lamar Jackson and Jalen Hurts. Recent preseason form, offensive scheme continuity, and opponent defensive rankings contribute to the parity, as no single signal-caller holds a decisive edge in projected attempts or efficiency. Historical Week 1 data shows wide variance in the leader due to game scripts and weather factors, keeping trader consensus evenly distributed without a dominant favorite.
