Recent mixed price action in the Ascended Heroes set has left traders evenly split on whether Mega Dragonite ex variants will close higher by August 31. Special illustration rares like the #290 and #295 have shown short-term volatility, with some listings easing after initial post-release spikes while Dragonite’s strong collector appeal and Mega Evolution nostalgia provide steady demand. Weekly TCGPlayer and PriceCharting data reflect modest corrections in mid-August alongside pockets of resilience for high-grade copies. Key swing factors include any late-August Pokémon TCG Worlds results that could boost playable or chase cards, fresh sales velocity reports, or early signals of the next set’s impact on secondary-market liquidity. With resolution tied to a single date’s closing prices, sentiment hinges on whether sustained fan interest outweighs ongoing supply pressure.
