Recent polling averages place Die Linke at 18–22 percent for the September 20, 2026, Berlin Abgeordnetenhaus election, reflecting gains from its 12.2 percent result in the prior vote and positioning the party near or ahead of the CDU and AfD in a fragmented field. New co-leadership, top candidate Elif Eralp, and emphasis on housing, transit affordability, and social policy have contributed to this momentum amid declining SPD support. The tight market distribution across seat bands stems from ongoing poll volatility, competition among four parties in the mid-teens to low-20s range, and uncertainty over final turnout—particularly among younger voters—and potential coalition alignments. Late-cycle surveys, candidate debates, or shifts in national political dynamics could widen gaps between the leading outcomes.
