Nigel Farage increased his vote share in the August 2026 Clacton by-election to 63.3 percent from 46.2 percent in the 2024 general election, securing re-election with 22,239 votes against Count Binface's 9,455. The contest followed Farage's resignation to trigger a by-election amid a parliamentary standards inquiry, with major parties boycotting the race and leaving only fringe and independent candidates. Lower turnout at 44.4 percent and a fragmented field concentrated support behind the Reform UK incumbent, producing a decisive swing of more than 17 points. Trader consensus at near-certainty reflects the confirmed result now in place, though final market resolution depends on any outstanding procedural verification of the official tallies.
