Darline Graham Nordone holds a dominant position in the South Carolina Republican primary for the special Senate seat due to her appointment by Governor Henry McMaster to finish her late brother Lindsey Graham’s term, combined with high name recognition and an endorsement from President Trump. These elements allowed her to top a ten-candidate field on August 11 with roughly 33 percent of the vote, advancing ahead of U.S. Rep. Ralph Norman to the August 25 runoff. The market’s 100 percent consensus aligns with verified first-round results showing her as the clear leader. Remaining uncertainty is minimal, though an official recount, certification delay, or unexpected procedural challenge could still shift the recorded outcome before resolution.
