The primary resolution source for this market will be official statements from Apple. However, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.Apple’s official invitation for the September 9 “Surprise and Shine” event at Apple Park, paired with consistent reporting from supply-chain sources and analysts like Mark Gurman, has positioned the book-style foldable iPhone (widely expected as the iPhone Ultra) as the likely headline announcement alongside iPhone 18 Pro models. The device’s near-crease-free 7.8-inch inner display, titanium frame, A20 Pro chip, and $2,000-plus pricing represent Apple’s first major iPhone form-factor shift, supported by iOS 27 fold-state detection code. Trader balance near 50 percent reflects lingering questions over late-stage hinge durability and yield issues that previously threatened delays, even as recent updates indicate production is back on track for a reveal. The event itself, occurring in days under incoming CEO John Ternus, remains the decisive catalyst that will resolve the market.
