James Richardson and his son Joshua bring closely matched experience to this MODUS Super Series encounter, with the veteran’s consistent recent form in the weekly format offsetting the younger player’s PDC Tour Card background and prior youth title success. Both have navigated similar group-stage schedules against comparable opposition, and the event’s short-format legs reward steady checkout percentages and 180 frequency over raw power. Historical family matchups, including James’s notable 2021 nine-darter victory, add familiarity without clear dominance, while Joshua’s post-Tour Card focus on amateur circuits keeps his current sharpness aligned with the field. Recent series results show neither holding a decisive edge in averages or leg-win rates against mid-tier opponents. Injury reports, last-minute lineup adjustments, or standout performances in the preceding sessions could shift implied probabilities by altering perceived momentum or fatigue factors.
