Multiple clubs boast deep squads, proven Premier League experience, and favorable pre-season momentum heading into the August 22 opener. Managerial transitions, including Xabi Alonso at Chelsea, and squad reinforcements across the top sides have kept the race open. Recent title history shows no dominant side has pulled clear early, with points shared among several contenders through the first half of prior campaigns reinforcing trader expectations of another wide-open contest.
