Liga MX’s defensive parity across multiple contenders keeps the 2026-27 clean-sheet race tight, with implied probabilities clustered between 37% and 40.5% on keepers including Ezequiel Unsain, Oscar García, Luis Cárdenas, Andrés Sánchez, and Keylor Navas. Several clubs field comparable backlines and pressing structures that limit high-quality chances, while early Apertura results already show multiple starters posting shutouts in limited fixtures. Navas’s standout xGP-prevented metrics and final appearance with Pumas UNAM in Clausura 2026 bolster his case, yet Monterrey’s Cárdenas, San Luis’s Sánchez, and León’s García benefit from similarly stable rosters and favorable schedules. Historical consistency among these shot-stoppers, combined with the two-tournament format and unpredictable opponent attacks, sustains equilibrium in trader consensus rather than elevating any single candidate.
