Runar Sandefjord IL and Bergen Handball enter their REMA 1000-ligaen opener as evenly matched sides based on last season’s standings and head-to-head results. Bergen finished third with 36 points while Runar placed fifth on 33, and their two prior meetings ended in a 36-36 draw followed by Bergen’s narrow 39-38 victory. Both clubs feature strong attacking options and solid defensive units that have kept recent encounters tight, with no major roster changes or injury reports altering the balance ahead of the August 29 matchup. Trader consensus at 50 percent reflects this parity, where home advantage for Runar offsets Bergen’s slightly superior league position and recent scoring depth. Late roster confirmations, goalkeeping form, or early-season fatigue could shift momentum either direction.
